Preparing for your session

Life with Purpose Christian Life Coaching helps individuals, businesses, and communities learn, grow, and achieve their personal or professional goals. We are NOT therapists, nor do we provide therapy services. We are NOT crisis. If you need therapy, we can help refer you to a therapist of your choosing. If you need crisis support, please dial 911 for emergencies or 988 for mental health support.

Life coaching is NOT therapy, and a life coach does not provide the same level of care or replace the need for therapy. Therapy generally addresses circumstances related to past experiences or trauma, while coaching is oriented towards future growth and implementing changes. Coaching typically involves a coach asking open-ended questions and employing various tools and assessments. Specifically, a Christian life coach does the same, but also includes prayer, explores the Bible with you, and centers the coaching experience from a faith perspective. A life coach does not provide advice or “tell you what to do”; instead, they ask questions that encourage deeper intuitive thinking and searching in one’s own heart. Life with Purpose, Christian Life Coaching, is not responsible or liable for the quality of the session, as it depends entirely on the client and the client’s actions.

To get the most out of your coaching experience, here are a few tips:

1.       Come ready and prepared to share your goals and areas of growth.

2.     Be on time for the start of each session to get the full benefit of your coaching time.

3.     Take a few minutes before the session to be with God in prayer, allowing the Holy Spirit to ready and prepare your heart and mind for the coaching session.
